awethumb - prepost

I wish I'd known what these were when I was listening to #121

it only took me forever (ok, a few searches, but these days that feels like forever) to figure out what the spelling was for this to find it, but I did that work for the benefit of my readers (who probably already know what an awethumb is). I say, "wow." I wish that I could have known what these were when I was listening to the podcast, because had I been able to picture Nilay wearing these when he first mentioned them, it would have made me cackle out loud (maybe I would have even snorted again).  now if I could find the definition of, kerf? kurf? curf? what? I will be all set.
